Who I Wanted To Be When I Grew Up
We all dreamed about what we wanted to do and who we wanted to be when we grew up. Here's 13 people I wanted to be that I remember -- I'm sure there's many, many more that I forgot!
1. A writer (was always #1!)
2. A doctor
3. A vet
4. A professional singer
5. A television/movie star
6. Mrs. George Harrison
7. Manager of a band
8. A fashion designer
9. Editor of a teen magazine (so I could meet David/Shaun Cassidy, Bobby Sherman, Michael Cole and just for Anne: Sajid Khan)
10. Professional photographer like Scavullo or Annie Liebovitz
11. A trailblazer like Gloria Steinem
12. A total genius like Stephen Hawking
13. A scientist like Marie Curie

A doctor who worked with physicians without borders.
Um, isn't G. Harrison dead sweetie?
HUGS
Me? I'll stick with Fairie Princess, though I'd settle for cat furniture.
I never wanted to grow up lol Happy T13!
George Harrison is pretty dreamy. Are you a writer now?? I hope so!
Happy TT!
I always wanted to be an attorney who helped people who had real need.
#1 and #9 could work nicely together. Then YOU could be the one who proudly came up with the headline that will live in our hearts forever: "What Vince Doesn't Know about Dick." (Oh, goodness, you dirty minded souls! It was from an early 1960s fan magazine and referenced Vince Edwards -- TV's Ben Casey -- and his competition, Richard Chamberlin -- Dr. Kildare.)
When I was really little, I wanted to have an office job with lots of cool office supplies. By high school, I wanted to be a journalist who exposed corruption.
Now how can you marry your Trekkiness with your/our love for Sajid Khan ... writing about his troubles on the set, perhaps, with an article called, "The Wrath of Khan?"
OK, I'll go away now.
Anne.
What do you want to be now?? lol...great list. Happy TT my friend:)
Great list. It's so interesting that your ambitions were so far reaching.
#s 1 and 13 were on my list, as well. Though I never thought being a writer was anything at all practical... and now (though I still don't think it's practical) I just don't care. I'm going after it anyway.
Happy TT!
Sounds like you had a lot of wonderful ambitions! I would love to be a singer or an artist :)
A few of mine: Be in the Peace Corp, drive a taxi, be a model, do and write interviews (the last one has sort of come true, but I was thinking more like Eric Clapton).
I wanted to be lots of things, but I keep coming back to writer. The best part of being a writer is that you can be anything by living through your characters.
Not that I want to be a rock star or anything. Yuck. No, thanks.
I dreamed of being Marie Curie too and Sissi L'impératrice. I've wanted pretty bad being a princess or a queen. Ha Ha Ha What kind of dream was that eh? :)
I sent you an email! :)
are you OK Lara?????
