Thursday Thirteen #3!

We all know the Dynamic Duo: Batman and Robin. However, here are my 13 other Duo’s I couldn’t live without (not in any particular order):

1. Lucy and Ethel. The ultimate dynamic duo.
2. George and Gracie. As in Burns and Allen. A true classic.
3. Laurel and Hardy. "Another fine mess you've gotten us into."
4. Bartles and James. Who mixed another great duo and gave us wine coolers.
5. Road Runner and Wylie Coyote. A case where one always wins and one always loses.
6. Illya Kuryakin and Napoleon Solo. The Men from U.N.C.L.E. "Open Channel D."
7. Barnes and Noble. A marriage made in literary heaven.
8. Thelma and Louise. A union probably going to hell...but they had fun getting there.
9. Butch and Sundance. Or Newman and Redford. Sigh.
10. Mulder and Scully. Masters of both smart ass responses and sexual tension.
11. Starsky and Hutch. And that CAR.
12. Maxwell Smart and Agent 99. "Get Smart" vs. KAOS. Remember that shoe phone?
13. Maddy Hayes and David Addison. Love and Hate at Blue Moon Investigations.

Thirteeners are soooo creative. I love Burns and Allen -- smiled just reading their names on your list. I also love the pics of your kitties!

Oooh....I still do remember Road Runner and Wylie Coyote. In fact my grandson watches it on TV. I also do like #s 9, 11.
Thanks for visiting.

Great list. Some fantastic duos in there.

I'd have to add Jamie and Paul from "Mad about You" sitcom of the 90s. Enjoyed this trip down Memory Lane, though.

Ah, Dave and Maddie! You KNOW how I loved them. OK, you know how I love him. Funny, but while you were fixating on "Barry Manilow Live in Britain," I was just longing for David Addison to follow me around whispering, "boink!" How could we have such different taste in men?

I agree, Thelma & Louise are not in hell -- they've already lived that here. ;)

Tehy'd be my number one any buddies/duo list.

Happy TT!

Great list! I must be about the same age ... these all look so familiar. I'm particluarly fond of Agent 99 (#12) ... brings back memories of my teen age years.

Note to Anne:
Re: Barry Manilow reference.
It was Manilow Live From Blenheim Palace actually. And I'd watch it again just to see him thrilled with the ability to say raunchy words on the English stage and not be arrested as he would be here!

This is exactly why we are friends, Sir Paul girl -- we never had to fence for the same man (altho we came close with Mr. Depp).
Sincerely,
George girl.

Absolutely excellent list. I liked "David Addison," but am not so fond anymore of Bruce Willis. The rest are classic!

Kate and Allie? The Smothers Brothers? Sam and Dave.

I'll be thinking of these all day now.
